Sister Veronica Oravec entered religious life from St. Michael’s parish in Johnstown, Pa. She credits the Sisters of Divine Providence who taught her at St. Michael’s for influencing her decision to become a Sister.
From 1996 to the present, Sister Veronica has served as administrator of finances for the Catholic Social Services Office in the Diocese of Arecibo. She also is an Associate coordinator. She lives out the Community’s charism by trying to emulate the Congregation’s foundress, Marie de la Roche.
Self-described as responsible, faithful, and cheerful, Sister Veronica enjoys listening to classical music, reading about current events, and reading historical novels.
