Sister Agnes Raible entered religious life from St. Mary’s (German) Church in McKeesport, Pa.
Her early ministry was in education, having taught for almost 41 years, including SS Peter and Paul in Beaver, Pa. (1971–78) and St. Margaret School in Pittsburgh, Pa. (1978–90). In 1993, she became the co-director at Kearns Spirituality Center, and in 2007, she became the director of the retreat center.
Although her job requires her to supervise the staff, oversee the physical maintenance of the building and the general appearance of the Center and grounds, coordinate the Center’s calendar of events, and handle many of the other administrative duties, her real ministry comes from her involvement with the Center’s guests. Sister Agnes says, “I try to make God’s Providence visible to those who visit us and participate in our programs by encouraging a compassionate, friendly atmosphere. I welcome people of all faiths in their search for God, and I do my best to show God’s love to each of them.”
