Sister Danella Hyland was an educator throughout her active ministry. She taught at Sacred Heart High School in Kingston, Mass. (1960–90), and at Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover, Mass. (1990–2002).
Having lost her mother at a young age, she was most influenced by her grandmother to enter religious life. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in the hope of serving children and being a mother figure to them. She says that many in the Community have been an inspiration to her.
Today, Sister Danella serves in prayer and general service ministry at Providence House, in Kingston.
