Emily Gezich, CDP

Sister Emily Gezich entered religious life from Assumption parish in Ernest, PA. She credits her close relationship with the Sisters of Divine Providence, who served Assumption parish, for greatly influencing her decision to become a Sister. Sister Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Duquesne University and a Master of Arts in Education from New York University. In her ministry as an educator, she taught at St. Norbert in Overbrook, Pennsylvania, as well as in Detroit; Phoenix; Arecibo, PR; and Tetecala, Morelos, Mexico. Sister Emily was also director of religious education in the cities of Cottonwood, Wichenburg, and Aguila, Arizona. At present, she is in prayer and general ministry at Providence Heights in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. When reflecting on the charism of the Community and what it means to her daily life, Sister Audrey says, “Trust in Divine Providence! For a number of years, I organized and executed retreats in the Prescott, Arizona mountains for parish teens. The Providence of God protected us from the countless risky possibilities we may have faced.”
