Audrey Sagan, CDP

Sister Audrey Sagan entered religious life from St. Alphonsus parish in Springdale, PA. She credits the Sisters who taught her in elementary school (St. Alphonsus), and especially in high school (Providence Heights, the Aspirant School), for greatly influencing her decision to become a Sister.

Sister Audrey earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Duquesne University. She taught at St. Basil in Carrick (1942-43), St. Cecilia in Glassport (1943–48; 59–60; 69–78), Holy Trinity in Pittsburgh, Sacred Heart School in Kingston, MA (1954-57), St. Mary in Glenshaw (1957-59; 80-84), St. Mary in McKeesport (1960-61), All Saints in Etna (1961-62; 84-86), Queen of Peace in Michigan (1962-63), St. Peter and Paul in East Liberty (1963-64), St. Mary in Sharpsburg (1964-69), and St. Ambrose in Spring Hill (1978-79). Upon retiring from teaching, Sister Audrey became a Eucharist Minister. She served at Guardian Angels Parish in Pittsburgh’s West End until 2006. At present, she is in prayer ministry at Providence Heights.

When reflecting on the charism of the Community and what it means to her daily life, Sister Audrey cites being faithful to the Community and spreading the Good News.

Describing herself as “patient and persevering,” Sister Audrey enjoys making rosaries and crocheting.
