CSLC Water Program

In celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life, the Catholic Sisters Leadership Council (CSLC) of Western Pennsylvania sponsored a program on water on Monday, May 11. The program, “Water: Sacred Source and Sustainer of Life,” was held at the Sisters of Divine Providence’s Kearns Spirituality Center in Allison Park, PA.

Sister Suzanne Golas, CSJP, director of Waterspirit—an ecology and spirituality ministry—was the keynote speaker of the day-long program. Sister Suzanne focused on the spirituality of water, its beauty and sacredness from an experiential, theological and scriptural perspective; the global, national and local water situation; and how we can address water problems and contribute to healthier water that is accessible to all people and living beings. The program also included input, reflection, discussion and sharing by the audience, which included Sisters, Associates, Ministry Affiliates, staff members and individuals who partner with our religious communities.
