Sacred Heart High School Students Serve at Matthew’s Kitchen Ministry
January 14, 2020 -- Plymouth, MA -- Over the weekend, several Sacred Heart high school students helped at Matthew’s Kitchen in Plymouth, MA. This ministry feeds the local homeless and those in need in the community. The guests were extremely humbled by such a large outpouring of love from the Sacred Heart community, and they were very thankful for the generous hot lunch that the Sisters of Divine Providence provided. One guest said she loves when Sacred Heart serves because the food is always so delicious. Along with a salad and a plethora of desserts, the guests lunched on sausage, peppers and onion subs along with meatball subs.
The students serve at Matthew's Kitchen at least every other month with Andrea Hurm, Sacred Heart's campus minister. All food is donated except for the hot entree, which is bought with a small grant from the Sisters and prepared by Andrea. Sacred Heart is grateful to the Sisters of Divine Providence for helping them in this most rewarding ministry.
