Judith Anne Rotunda, CDP

Sister Judith, formerly Sister George Ann, entered religious life from Our Lady Help of Christians parish in Pittsburgh. She credits her parents, who gave her a love for religion, and the Sisters who taught her in grade school and high school, who inspired her by the simplicity of their lives, as influencing her decision to enter religious life. Sister Judith earned a bachelor’s degree from La Roche University and a master of science in education from Duquesne University. She began her ministry in education, which included St. Alphonsus in Springdale, PA (1966–70; principal 1977-81), St. Joseph in Dover, OH (1970–73), St. Rose of Lima in Altoona, PA (1973–77), principal at All Saints in Etna, PA (1981–94), co-principal at Providence Heights Alpha School in Allison Park, PA (1994–96) and principal at St. Aloysius in Pittsburgh (1996–98). Sister Judith was also the manager of St. Ambrose Manor, a senior high rise facility in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill neighborhood.

Sister Judith always felt a great responsibility to her ministries. Over the years she remained open to the call – going wherever she was needed. She lives the charism of Divine Providence in her daily life within Community, with her family and friends. She said, "My life can be summed up with the phrases 'I am blessed' and 'the Lord provides for all our needs.'"

Self-described as a very positive, compassionate and upbeat person, Sister Judith enjoys knitting, reading and cooking.
