A Warm Reunion on a Cold Day

Five of Sister Marlene Luffy’s former second-grade students from St. Anne's School in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania, stopped by The Commons at Providence Heights with a heartwarming surprise—a beautiful bench dedicated to their beloved teacher of more than 60 years ago. The bench inscription also honors Sister Maura Luffy and reads in part: “Les Deux Soeurs” (The Two Sisters)—a tribute to the French lessons Sister Marlene lovingly included in her teaching. During their visit, the classmates talked about Sister Marlene's lifelong influence and shared stories from their school days. Thank you to the alumni of St. Anne's School for this touching tribute.
