Sacred Heart Elementary holds successful food drive

Assistant Principal Sister Lydia Steele, 4th grade teacher Maura Eastman and Sacred Service students at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Kingston, Massachusetts coordinated a successful food drive in November, which benefited St. Joseph's food pantry. Items collected included canned goods, dry goods and personal care products. Students enthusiastically gathered and sorted the donations, as well as loaded up delivery vehicles. Sacred Service provides 4th, 5th and 6th grade students the opportunity to develop and exercise their leadership skills in service to the school. Members are provided a group of peers to bring forth their thoughts and ideas for the school with pride and awareness of their community.
